| Road rides: The number of routes and loops that can be put together from our area is almost endless. One can find challenging mountain gaps or nice rolling farmland to ride. Mountain bike rides: Killington Resort has some of the finest mountain bike trails that can be found anywhere. An example can be seen in the picture at left. Killington has over 45 miles of bike trails. There is something for everyone, whether you want to ride the Gondola and descend or seek-out some excellent single-track on the lower mountain. Pine Hill Park in Rutland offers rocky terrain with sweet twisty single track . Moderate climbs spanning over 275 acre's. Pine Hill Park Other options are available too. If you like to climb, the town of Pittsfield is 8 miles north of Killington on Rt. 100. Here you can explore Upper Michigan Road and the Hayes Brook Trail. The Contest Trail located off Liberty Hill Road in Pittsfield also offers fantastic single track with great views. We have maps at the shop. Looking for flatter terrain? Check out River Road in Killington or Wheelerville Road in Mendon. The Look Out Tavern located next door to True Wheels Bike Shop hosts a weekly mountain bike ride on Tuesdays at 5. We ride the trail system at Killington. |
